Security - Special Access Program (SAP) Security personnel interface with customers, fellow employees and the government on security requirements for proprietary programs as well as providing guidance and support to employees working on such activities, helping them stay abreast of changes and updates in requirements.

The Shared Use Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) will support the Shared Use Security Manager and Program Security Operations, joining a cross functional team to oversee all security aspects related to multifunction testing and engineering facilities. The Shared Use CPSO will work to ensure compliance with all programmatic requirements and Government regulations, including but not limited to the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Department of Defense Manual (DoDM) 5205.07 series, Joint SAP Implementation Guide (JSIG), and the ICD-705 Technical Specification.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.

Applicants may be considered for the Sr. Industrial Security Specialist (G08) or the Principal Industrial Security Specialist (G09) position based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and position responsibilities. (Earned college credit and applicable experience can be taken into consideration in lieu of a degree. Transcripts will be requested to validate earned college credits.)

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the oversight and implementation of contractual security requirements for engineering development labs and multifunction test facilities utilizing the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Department of Defense Manual (DoDM) 5205.07 series, the ICD-705, and Joint SAP Implementation Guide (JSIG).
  • Cooperate with teams of collateral and program security personnel.
  • Partner with personnel across functional organizations in support of business objectives, while ensuring compliance with US Government and Company directives and policies.
  • Develop and implement local Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), processes and procedures to ensure continually high compliance levels and efficient operations.
  • Perform annual self-inspections, evaluate findings, and direct the implementation and re-evaluation of the corrective action(s).
  • Provide security support during Government inspections.
  • Investigate security infractions/violations, prepare reports specifying the potential for loss or compromise, and provide associated corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with and assist the ISSO / ISSM on implementation of JSIG requirements and approved sanitization procedures for hardware and test equipment.
  • Inspect, prepare for accreditation, and maintain secure facilities in accordance with (IAW) ICD 705 standards.
  • Assist engineering lab personnel in compliance with health & safety, security and engineering guidelines.
  • Role includes working in varied environments including outdoor facilities, climbing ladders, and temperature extremes.

A valid drivers license is needed as this position may involve escorting individuals across business locations

Required Experience, Skills, and Education
  • Bachelors Degree, or 8 years equivalent related experience in lieu of degree PLUS the following:
  • Sr. Industrial Security Specialist Minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience (12 years without a Bachelors degree)
  • Principal Industrial Security Specialist Requires minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience (14 years without a Bachelors degree)
  • Active Secret security clearance - (Please note the current, final Secret clearance must have an investigation not older than 6 years on the first day of employment confirmed prior to interview)
  • Experience working on SAP and/or SCI security programs.
  • Experience with any of the following: NISPOM, DoDM 5205.07 series and/or ICD 705.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Desired Experience, Skills, and Education
  • Degree major in Business Management, Security and/or Risk Management, Government Policy, Information Management, Criminal Justice, or other related field of study.
  • Possess a final TOP SECRET security clearance with an investigation not older than 6 years on the first day of employment.
  • At least 6 years of National Security experience preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products
  • Effective at tracking multiple projects until completion, and keeping large amounts of documentation organized
  • Ability to collaborate with and support personnel from a variety of functional organizations.
  • Related training with Defense Security Service (DSS), Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) including, Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC).

Security Clearance: This position requires the successful issuance, transfer or maintenance of a security Clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement.
