Job Description

Program Management includes working with the sponsor to develop program requirements, managing financial expenditures, measuring progress (e.g., earned value), managing program risk, and conducting program management reviews with the sponsor to ensure program objectives are met.

This includes the following activities but is not limited to:
• Daily interaction with program sponsors, and their designees, to ensure sponsor satisfaction with work products
• Supervise daily program management activities including supervision of a staff of program managers responsible for the project initiation, planning, execution, and closeout for large programs (multi-million dollar)
• Provide program management subject matter expertise to the division in the creation of program plans for lessor value programs (less than $500K) to develop effective program plans, requirements, and tracking tools and metrics
• Responsible for establishing program management processes and continual improvement opportunities for the division. The program management processes will adhere to the ELSYS processes and will define the tools and methods for the division in program planning, program monitoring (cost and schedule), prioritizing tasks and program replanning as needed
• Assist with the creation and delivery of materials related to project/program management education and mentoring.
• Facilitate the development of business aspects of potential programs. Work with the proposing unit leader, the GTRI budget office and procurement to perform cost estimations and develop white papers and proposals
• Track and prepare reports related to program outcomes (quantitative and qualitative)
• Other related duties as assigned of Experience

Research Engineer/Scientist/Technologist/Associate I

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical field.

Due to our research contracts with the US federal government, candidates for this position are required to be US Citizens.

Clearance Type Required

Ability to obtain Secret Clearance upon hire
