Job Summary:
The Naval Shipboard Portfolio has an immediate opening to serve as the Program Finance Manager for the Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile (ESSM) directorate. This position provides a tremendous growth opportunity for an ambitious individual to partner with the program leadership team, which includes Program Managers, technical leads, and functional support.
ESSM program currently generates approximately $300M in revenue per year and growing to $500M over the next 5 years. ESSM is a dynamic and growing program with both production and development efforts spanning across missile and launcher businesses. The unique business model allows for international exposure with our international partners. The Finance Manager will have a key role in the pursuit, setup and execution of multiple contracts while providing critical financial oversight and guidance. This position will be interacting/collaborating with a variety of different internal and external customers.

You will report directly to the Naval Shipboard Portfolio Finance Director but will have substantial interface with key personnel within the organization to ensure understanding of RMD requirements as well as successful financial performance.

The ESSM team is made up of a dedicated group which include one junior level Finance Manager and eight financial analysts who support a robust portfolio of pursuits and manage all financial aspects of their respective programs.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  1. Management of fixed price production, development cost-plus contractual Earned Value (EV), domestic and international contracts.
  2. Developing and integrating all financial aspects including financial planning (5-yr, AOP, RONA, working capital, monthly financial performance reporting and NBI), as well as program controls such as developing estimates at completion (EACs). T
  3. Providing financial analysis for growth opportunities as well as being a key contributor for the proposal / Gate 4 process.
An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience as follows: Master's is equal to 3 years of experience.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related
  • 10 years year's finance/accounting experience
  • Leadership experience in a matrix environment
  • Experience and understanding of the Program Business role, including but not limited to, APEX, Earned Value (EVMS), and/or working knowledge of Financial Planning & Analysis (FPA) concepts
  • Experience interfacing and conducting business with various functional disciplines (engineering, supply chain, etc).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.)
  • Experience in organizing, preparing, and presenting briefings to customers, management and peers
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US secret security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
