Job Summary:
The Air Power Portfolio has an immediate opening for a Finance Business Manager within Tactical Strike Production Area Directorate with a focus on Griffin, HARM & Maverick programs. In this critical role, you will be provided a tremendous growth opportunity for an enthusiastic, responsible manager to collaborate with the program leadership team, which includes Program Managers, technical leads, and functional support. In this role, you will have the opportunity to increase your exposure to multiple facets of not only the finance organization but also RMDs strategic endeavors.
As a Finance Business Manager, you will play a key role in the pursuit, setup and execution of multiple contracts while providing critical financial oversight and guidance. You will be interacting with a variety of different internal and external customers and you will have substantial interface with key personnel within the organization to ensure understanding of RMD requirements as well as successful financial performance. This role will focus heavily on forecasting, program controls compliance, team learning, and process improvements. The ideal candidate for this role will be an excellent communicator with a strong desire to learn while being progressively challenged. You must have the ability to manage competing priorities, balance a variety of tasks, and interact with a various levels of management and customer counterparts.

The current team is made up of a dedicated group of four financial analysts who support a portfolio of programs and manage all financial aspects of their respective programs.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  1. Developing and integrating all financial aspects including financial planning (5-yr, AOP, RONA, working capital, monthly financial performance reporting and NBI), as well as program controls such as developing estimates at completion (EACs).
  2. Provide financial analysis for growth opportunities as well as being a key contributor for the proposal / Gate 4 process
  3. Manage a team of up to 5 financial analysts at various stages of their career with varying levels of experience
  4. Utilize the full suite of program controls tools (Analysis for Office, SAP/APEX, PMX tool Suite) to provide target EVMS analysis that guides efficiencies and meets EVMS compliance standards.
  5. Coordinate and perform Estimates-at-Completes (EACs)
  6. Oversite of contractual Earned Value (EV) contracts

An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience as follows: Master's is equal to 3 years of experience.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related
  • 8+ years experience in finance or related business role
  • Experience with Earned Value (EVMS)
  • Experience with SAP or similar tools
  • Experience with Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA)
  • Experience interfacing and conducting business with various functional disciplines (engineering, supply chain etc.)
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office (Excel - Advanced, Word, Powerpoint, etc.)
Qualifications We Value:
  • Masters Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) when interfacing with all levels of the company
  • Ability to drive change and influence beyond authority level
  • Experience leading/managing interpersonal teams
  • Experience with APEX EV and PRISM EV
  • Experience managing multiple DoD contracts
  • Leadership experience in a matrix environment
  • Experience in organizing, preparing, and presenting briefings to customers, management and peers
  • Deep critical thinking and problem solving skills, including a demonstrated ability to prioritize concurrent requirements and accommodate numerous stakeholders
  • Shows initiative by seeking ways to expand on existing practices and improve processes
  • Desire to learn and contribution in an enthusiastic on highly collaborative team
  • Ability to work under minimal direction and dynamically participate in determining objectives of assignments
