Job Summary:
The SM-3 Finance organization is seeking an individual to join our team specifically to support the Block IIA Program. SM-3 has two main configurations, a Block IB (Blk 1B) and Block IIA (Blk IIA) missile. The Blk IB is a mature missile that has been in production since 2005, while Blk IIA has been in development stage for several years and is now starting into the LRIP phase. In addition to production, there are still various development and transition to production (TTP) activities being worked under IIA. This role requires earned value management and will be helping to oversee ~$50M in sales each year.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  1. Training of program counterparts on the impact there roles play on financial metrics
  2. Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) implementation and maintenance, variance analysis, data reviewing and reporting
  3. Management of cost / schedule progress in comparison to budgets and forecasts of Bookings / Sales / Profit / Cash monthly
  4. Aid in the development of AOP and for 5-year plans for specific effort
  5. EAC (Estimate at Complete) preparation, review and submission
  6. Frequent interaction with various functions and multiple levels of the organization
  7. Participation and support in weekly and monthly program business reviews
  8. Ensuring that funding levels and customer request are being addressed.
  9. Support internal and external Earned Value Management audits (conducted by the Raytheon audit team, DCMA, and the customer (MDA))
  10. Participate in the preparation of detailed CDRLs in support of contract requirements (such as IPMRs and CCDRs)
An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience as follows: Master's is equal to 2 years of experience.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related
  • 5+ years of professional experience in a finance or business management role
  • Experience in use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Experience interfacing and conducting business with various functional disciplines (Contracts, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, etc.) in program development and execution
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:
  • Demonstrated ability to meet critical deadlines
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management and EVM tools (MPM, APEX EV, forProject)
  • Familiarity with financial evaluations of engineering projects, and/or process improvements
  • Experience communicating variances to forecasts and financial results
  • Ability to identify issues and implement corrective action plans that produce positive results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Defense Contracting Finance work experience
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing information and conditions
  • Independent thinker, self-motivated, and proactive
  • Ability to relate to technical people, complex hardware and processes
  • Experience developing senior level presentations
