Job Summary:
We have an excellent opportunity to join the Land Warfare & Air Defense (LW&AD) Operations Finance Team located in Andover, MA as the Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense System (LTAMDS) and National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System (NASAMS) team lead. This candidate would be responsible for partnering with the Program Operations Managers (POMs) and program offices of these programs, supporting Quarterly EACs, Monthly Earned Value Analysis, Monthly Budget Change Requests (BCRs), monthly Operations labor forecasting, as well as make-where and return on investment analyses. These are strategic, fast paced programs looking for the right individual to partner for predictability and growth. In addition, this candidate would be responsible for the operations labor forecasting process (monthly, Annual Operation plan, Long Range Plan) for the entire LW&AD Mission Area, driving value stream engagement, analysis by IPT, and Operations and LW&AD LT review.
The candidate must drive data based decision making, and demonstrate the ability to perform meaningful analysis, assist in financial recommendations, and communicate effectively, while partnering with management and operating as integral member of the team.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Be fully accountable for the LTAMDS and NASAMS operations financial execution, including EAC development, risk and opportunity analysis, earned value support, performance against AOP, and tracking cost control initiatives and proposal/capture support
  • Be a business partner and support to the Program Operations Managers (POMs) to ensure all decisions are supported by an informed financial analysis
  • Directly manage and support the LTAMDS finance analyst on tasks such as developing EACs, earned value support, as well as career and performance development
  • Share reports and insights with program office finance teams and value stream finance to ensure operations positions are timely, accurate and complete, including risk and opportunity assessments
  • Support strategic operations costing initiatives for future LTAMDS process, improve, and streamline the LW&AD operations labor forecasting process across all IPTs and product lines, including the monthly forecast, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and Long Range Plan (LRP).
  • Implement weekly analysis and risk & opportunity assessments, and support deliverables to Operations LT as well as LW&AD FP&A, Patriot Product Line, and Finance LT.
  • Support management by quickly assimilating into a team culture
  • Be able to act as delegate for LW&AD Ops Finance Manager in strategic LT meetings
  • Proactively lead self-initiated investigations, solve problems, and resolve issues
  • Positively drive process and culture change through the RMD merger and OSQ re-organization, including potential to lead several special projects
  • Ensure that all assignments are prioritized and completed on schedule with adequate time allotted for management review
  • Prepare and present director-level presentations




Qualifications You Must Have:
  • A University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
  • Experience with financial systems (such as SAP, BW), and Excel

Qualifications We Value:
  • Experience implementing and supporting impactful process improvements
  • Experience performing comparative analysis with an emphasis on variance explanations
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while being empowered to take charge and move forward with little to no direction
  • Experience with the Estimate at Completion (EAC) process
  • Earned Value Management experience or certification
  • Excellent data abilities to identify problems and influential enough to ensure corrective actions are taken in a timely manner
  • Experience partnering cross functionally
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, comfortable speaking in small groups and has the ability to professionally share observations with every level of management
  • Experience in operations finance or program finance
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Anticipates issues before they arise and proactively resolves them
  • Strong track record of delivering exceptional results to customers
  • Extremely organized, can track multiple scenarios; always has record of the final results
  • Extremely thorough, submits complete and accurate work to customers
