With Intel's ambitious IDM2.0 manufacturing goals, the focus on equipment performance and productivity has never been more critical to the future success of the company. FSM's (Fab Sort Manufacturing) Equipment Productivity Team is hiring a Productivity Industrial Engineer to support this renewed effort and commitment.

As part of the FSM Productivity Team, the Productivity Industrial Engineer will work across business units to innovate and drive equipment productivity to world class levels. The successful candidate will partner with several modules, supply chain teams and Intel's equipment suppliers to analyze, assess and validate productivity changes, drive Model of Record (MOR) changes, and proliferate learnings across all Intel nodes and technologies. The Productivity Industrial Engineer will also team with Manufacturing & Supply partners to optimize, automate, and streamline Intel's Factory and Capital Systems to increase the speed, flexibility, and accuracy of capital allocation decision making.

Responsibilities include, but not be limited to:

  • Work with the Technology & Development (TD) group, supply chain, and suppliers to establish best output targets for future nodes.
  • Work with TD modules to hit MOR on day 1 of transfer.
  • Drive strategy to opportunistically insert leading-edge tooling on older technologies.
  • Drive the sharing of process and equipment productivity across Intel's technology nodes.
  • Work with suppliers to implement best-in-class (Rest of World) equipment solutions that will help Intel.
  • Work with supply chain to increase and enforce productivity focus inside purchase specifics.
  • Develop enabling equipment support systems - artificial intelligence, machine learning, predictive analytics.
  • Develop business process to push past MOR commitments to avoid capital spending.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in a science, technology, math, engineering, or STEM discipline (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Industrial Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry).
  • 7+ years of experience as a Factory, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineer.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possess a Master's or PhD in a science, technology, math, engineering, or STEM discipline (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Industrial Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry).
  • 10+ years of relevant experience as a Factory, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineer.
  • Working knowledge of factory equipment Plan Of Record (POR) and MOR metrics.
  • Technical knowledge of capacity/production planning and execution, capital asset utilization and process flow knowledge to drive solutions from start up through ramp.
  • Systems experience with FCS (Factory Capacity System), EMS (Equipment Management System), VRROOM (Virtual Run Rate Optimization and Output Management), advanced Excel, SQL, JUMP, Power BI, etc.
  • Working knowledge of factory and planning systems such as Tool Install Scheduling, factory data, Process Change Control Board, Game Plan, Mid-Range Plan (MRP), LRP (Long Range Plan), WSPW (Wafer Starts Per Week system) and Supplier Interface System.
  • Hands-on experience creating POR (Plan of Record) and MOR Capacity Calculators with flexibility to incorporate WIFs (What If scenarios) to derive capability impact statements.
  • Equipment knowledge needed to model, analyze, and compare key capacity metrics. 
  • Acumen to partner with finance to quantify productivity improvements, understand Depreciation (DPN) impacts and drive closure to Intel's dollars/WC (Wafer Cost)targets
  • Experience partnering with Intel supply chain and suppliers to deliver solutions.
