Job Description

The MSO Automation Operations Research team consists of a diverse group of engineers who apply data analysis, engineering, and mathematical / optimization models to develop and deliver solutions to complex manufacturing problems.

The Production Control Software Development Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Engaging with factory customers to clarify problems as well as opportunities and then identify and drive tactical and strategic solutions, and
  • Driving improvement plans to keep pace with the dynamic, rapidly evolving manufacturing environment, and to provide training and user support for the solutions we develop.

The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral skills:

  • This role will involve working across organizations and across geographies, requiring good communication skills and flexibility to work with individuals in other time zones.
  • The scope of this team has evolved rapidly over the last year, a condition that is expected to continue, requiring an openness to change and on-going learning / new skill development.


Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess a Master's degree in Computer Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering or a related field of study.
  • 3+ years of experience analyzing and solving problems in a manufacturing environment.
  • 1+ years of software application development experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Applied Materials suite of SmartFactory Semiconductor Automation Software.
  • Experience with Oracle SQL, Power BI, JMP, and/or discrete event modeling languages.
