Embedded within Apple's Security Engineering & Architecture organization, the Product Security team's mission is to respond to and resolve active security risks to Apple's customers. At the heart of an organization dedicated to building the most secure operating system in the world and putting it in the hands of millions of customers, the team is looking for a motivated program manager to lead the Apple Security Bug Bounty Program (https://developer.apple.com/security-bounty/.).

Key Qualifications

• Passion for protecting the security of Apple's users
• Prior experience and proven track record leading a bug bounty program
• High level understanding of common security vulnerabilities and their impact
• Experience designing and developing processes for large bug bounty programs
• You should be able to comprehend and deal well with rapid changes, while remaining calm and flexible and in the face of uncertainty and/or ambiguity
• Passion for and proven ability to quickly understand technical concepts in a wide range of fields
• Excellent communication, presentation, social skills, ability to distill information for the right audience
• Phenomenal leadership skills with a multi-functional collaborative approach
• Self-motivated, proactive, creative, with demonstrated critical thinking capability and great attention to detail

You will belong to a team on the front lines of the security community. The team handles communications with external security researchers, assessing reported vulnerabilities, setting priorities, and working with engineering to resolve them. Successful candidates will have excellent relationship-building skills, a talent for designing effective processes, and an eye for discerning signal from noise.

Education & Experience

BS in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience/skills

Additional Requirements

• Preferred Skills:
• Experience as an engineering program manager
• Ability to triage, analyze and investigate security issues reported to Apple
• Experience coordinating responses to security incidents
• Ability to explain complex security problems and advise on security design
• Experience with automation tooling and reporting
• Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages
