Job Description

We are looking for an exceptional candidate who as a member of Intel PSG's product reliability team will work on evaluating the silicon reliability of advanced FPGAs. In this role, the candidate will be expected to work with various functional groups such as Technology, Design, and Manufacturing to evaluate the silicon reliability risks and perform data analysis for product qualification. The candidate must be a team player and eager to learn various tools used to evaluate product reliability risks. 

The Product Reliability Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to: 

  • Develop, apply, and maintain quality and reliability standards for processing materials into partially finished or finished products.
  • Evaluate the materials, processes, and techniques used in production to meet the requirement of products and production equipment.
  • Specify inspection and testing mechanism conducts quality assessment (up to and including audits) and performs statistical analysis to determine the responsibility for products and systems that do not meet required specifications.
  • Deliver standardization in product qualification, manufacturing quality systems, and methods. 
  • Provide feedback to BU, TD, and/or partner engineering group on design or method and statistical process control procedures including manufacturing systems in HVM. 
  • Determine reliability requirements and automated screening methodologies of components and systems to achieve company, customer, and any governmental agency reliability objectives. 
  • Develop new acceleration techniques, analytical tools, and quality screens to assure the early identification of potential problems with new products, packaging, processes, and product quality/reliability. 
  • Respond to customer requests or events as they occur. 
  • Make recommendations for changes in design or formulation to improve the system and/or process/product reliability.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates


Minimum Qualifications:


The candidate must possess one of the following:

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science or Physics with 1+ years of experience with knowledge of basic device physics and statistical data analysis using software like JMP.


2. Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science or Physics.


Preferred qualifications


  • Knowledge of circuit reliability. 
  • Knowledge of reliability degradation mechanisms.
