This position is associated with the sale of Intels NAND memory and storagebusiness to SK hynix (You can read more about the transaction in the press release - The transaction will enhance the resources and potential of the business storage solutions, including client and enterprise SSDs, in the rapidly growing NAND Flash space amid the era of big data.  

This is an exciting time to be at Intel come join our Client NAND Division as a Product Engineering Lead and work on one of the most advanced 3DNAND and SSD technology portfolios in the world. As the global leader in the semiconductor industry, Intel possesses many industry-leading SSD technologies including the most capable Quadruple Level Cell (QLC) NAND Flash products. As a Product Engineering Lead, you will be part of a world-class team that will transition to lead the SSD business at SK hynix.  

Candidates being hired for Phase 1 

This position aligns to Phase 1 of the transaction, which includes the 3DNAND enterprise and client SSD business. Phase 1 is expected to close in late 2021, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary conditions. At deal close, all employees aligned to this phase of the transaction will transition to SK hynix. 

In this position you will be the Product Engineering Lead for an SSD program. Product Engineering Lead is the primary interface between Product Validation teams: functional, compatibility and System Electrical teams, and Product Development PDT. In this capacity, you will Lead End to End SSD Product Validation, by working with System Integration, Firmware, architects and PDTs to plan, track and deliver product validation activities.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • To own development of the Master Test Plan MTP its revision control as well as all corresponding reviews and signoffs.
  • To ensure implementation and coverage against the MTP across all product level validation teams wrt the PLC milestones.
  • To chair the Product Validation and Info-turn forum responsible for coordinating validation execution activities across all product level teams reporting directly into the PDT.
  • To define validation execution for the duration of a product line, both strategic and tactical.
  • To participate in key ingredient validation forums, as needed, to ensure continuity and proper focus on product level validation efforts.
  • To oversee and ensure proper management of the generated sightings from filing to closure. Will own sightings report for the program and report into the PDT.
  • To ensure proper communication in cloning of sightings across programs, as applicable.
  • To own creation of the QRC Scorecard and reviewing it with the Product System Integrator, PDT forum for signoff.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates

Minimum Qualifications:
The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree with minimum 10 years of experience or a Master's degree with minimum 8 years of experience
Degree should be in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Computer Science or a related discipline

5 + years of experience in System Validation and test plans
2 + years of experience with SSDs

Preferred Qualifications:
Product system level experience spanning HW and SW domains especially related to validation is highly desired
