Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ability to learn specific product line(s) and product applications. Analyze competitor products and prepare technical product comparison reports.
Prepare product documentation, including data sheets and instruction manuals with supervision.
Work with a team of engineers to prioritize development activities to meet customer needs while accomplishing project objectives.
Participate in specifying product requirements, and work closely with engineering leadership to ensure product features and functionality meet the customer/market needs.
Develop an end user system operational understanding of how specific technology families are used and have a clear understanding of the functional and performance requirements.
Support the creation of materials for use in educating internal and external customers on successful examples of SEL product applications.
Continuously identify, measure, follow, and improve R&D processes.
Understand. Create. Simplify.
Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, with an emphasis in Power Systems
Knowledge of electric power systems
Good presentation skills
Willing to travel up to 10%
Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Background check results satisfactory to SEL
Negative drug test result(s)

Preferred Qualifications

M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, with an emphasis in Power Systems

Experience with protective relaying equipment
