Come and join us, Intel is seeking highly qualified candidates to join our Internet of Things Group, IoTG, as a Product Development Engineer. IOTG Portfolio Engineering IPE is looking for motivated passionate and talented engineers to join our Product and Test Development team. IPE is a strong vibrant cross geo team, which helps drive Intel's processor technology and products to position Intel x86 as the device of choice. In this role as a Product Development Engineer, you be delivering products in the semiconductor model with knowledge, covering the full manufacturing flow including fab test, design for test, package assembly and qualification. You will implement product market specific fuse configurations, defining product attributes and thus ensuring the functionality and quality of outgoing products across a large customer usage model. You will also be responsible for developing and working across teams at multiple geos and functional areas, to support the full life cycle of the product from product concept to implementation into high volume manufacturing.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Define and validate product attributes to determine optimum die/wafer utilization model and understanding silicon characteristics and silicon boundaries

  • Determine and implement post high volume manufacturing product health improvements, PHI

  • Implement Design of Experiments, DOE, to understand power definitions, product functionality, product yield modeling to optimize long life maintainability

  • New product introduction and support high volume production needs

  • Perform data analysis characterization and fault isolation to determine the root cause of the issues

  • Work with Marketing, Design Test and Quality Engineers to identify and implement corrective actions on both new and mature products and technologies

  • Establish manufacturing requirements and specification for delivery of the product and drive to close potential test gaps and correlations issues across the product supply chain

  • Strong Problem Solving skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of data analysis tools

  • Working python experience

In this position you will gain invaluable experience which will allow growth and expanded opportunities within this business group as well as future possible opportunities with other business groups within Intel. The Internet of Things Group drives new product technologies from high-end coprocessors for supercomputers to low energy systems for enterprise and the cloud as well as solutions for big data and intelligent devices.


Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidate must have a Master's degree in Embedded Systems or related field.

4+ years experience in the following area:

  • IC product development and yield improvement

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Development of Secure Embedded Systems

  • Architecting Smart IoT Devices

  • System Validation

  • Programming the Internet of Things
