Job Title: Prod Troubleshooting Tech III
Location: Idaho - Lewiston

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a motivated, results oriented and detailed professional for our Production Troubleshooting Technician. If you are looking for an opportunity to troubleshoot down to a component level and work with a variety of products in an ever-changing work environment, then this position is for you!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Test and troubleshoot microprocessor-based products to component level with no guidance.
2. Act as a primary liaison with engineering and manufacturing on products and processes design issues.
3. Train and mentor Production Troubleshooting staff on products and processes.
4. Develop and maintain knowledge of SEL products and processes to ensure product quality and integrity. 
5. Implement department objectives under direction of immediate supervisor.
6. Model, teach, and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
7. Understand. Create. Simplify.
8. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Two-year degree in Industrial Electronic Technology or equivalent work experience
5 years experience in electronic design, manufacturing or testing
Advanced knowledge of analog, digital, and microprocessor based electronics
Advanced analytical, judgment, organizational, and project management skills
Experience leading process improvement initiatives
Leadership and mentorship experience
Working knowledge of computer applications such as Word, Excel, Access
Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Background check results satisfactory to SEL
Negative drug test result(s)


Preferred Qualifications
Advanced technical training and presentation skills
Working knowledge of structured programming
Advanced computer program skills:  Word, Excel, Access
