Job Description

Work with a small team of engineers to develop state-of-the-art PIC (photonic integrated circuit) v-groove assisted fiber passive attachment process for manufacture application. The initial work includes the development of needed equipment, process, and defining the requirements for all involved components. The work also includes the transfer of the equipment to production and manufacturing engineer training.


The second phase of the work is to develop the very high UPH (unit per hour) equipment-process for the above and to scale up the work for very high-volume production.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Being self-motivative driven with great potential to developed into a world domain expert in the field of PIC v-groove assisted fiber passive attachment.
- Learning new processes and tools.
- Making technical decisions and providing technical direction.
- Listening, writing, and good verbal communication skills.


In this position you will gain invaluable experience which will allow growth and expanded opportunities within this business group as well as future possible opportunities with other business groups within Intel.


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Education Requirement:

- PhD degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related fields and 1 plus year of industry experience.

Minimum qualifications-requirements:

- 1 plus year of experience with a strong track-record of working in labs, characterizing process parameters, solving problems in a timely manner, and producing successful results.
- 1 plus year of experience in equipment control-automation.
- 1 plus year of experience in statistical data analysis and draw conclusions.

Preferred qualifications
- Experience programing/scripting, e.g. LabVIEW, JSL
- Proficiency in design of experiment, statistical analysis methods and analysis software, such as JMP.
