Job Summary:

As a Process/Configuration Management Engineer, you will support the RTC program in Colorado Springs and will provide engineering support in the areas of process engineering, configuration management, and technical writing.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • You will document, implement, and improve processes.
    • Maintain the Process Asset Library, update and revise existing processes, assist in the preparation of Configuration Management plans and processes, Software Management plans, Cybersecurity plans, and Software Transition plans.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement across the program, and document and implement those improvements
    • Work with Quality Assurance to support audits.
  • You will be responsible for development, coordination, peer review, security marking, and submission of numerous technical documents for the OSM product.
    • Support OSM technical and document baseline, implement the formal release approval process for all controlled technical documents and data, develop detailed schedules to ensure on-time CDRL delivery, ensure quality of documentation prior to delivery (review and verify documents for completeness, format, proper markings, and compliance with contract requirements), and complete and document the formal delivery to the customer.
    • Learn and apply security standards for proper marking of controlled documentation and media.
  • You will assist in the management of Configuration Management (CM) and Data Management (DM) processes.
    • Support both internal and external configuration control meetings as needed.
    • Participate in configuration audits to ensure accurate baseline documentation and accountability.
    • As needed, assist with hardware assets, including managing and maintaining the artifacts associated with the Change Management process. This can include inventory, documenting, and organizing all types of IT hardware.
  • You will assist with metrics collection and analysis.
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelors Degree (BA or BS for an accredited college or university)
  • To qualify as a Process/Configuration Management Engineer you must have a minimum of two (2) years or more of documented work and/or academic experience in the following areas:
  • To qualify as a Senior Process/Configuration Management Engineer you must have a minimum of five (5) years or more of documented work and/or academic experience in the following areas:
    • Experience in Configuration Management and Data Management Processes
    • Experience creating and managing technical documents
    • Experience using desktop applications including MS Office tool suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and database software packages
    • Experience interacting with government customers
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date; U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Value:
  • Experience with the use of CADM (Configuration and Data Management) tools such as JIRA, GIT, or other similar software baseline and change control tools.
  • Experience providing technical advice and guidance on CM/DM methods, procedures, and requirements
  • Experience managing version control of documents
  • SharePoint experience
  • Experience overseeing and managing processes from start to finish, identify tasks to be completed and following up to ensure completion
  • Experience solving complex problems
  • Security background and experience properly applying security/classification markings for controlled documents and media
  • Advanced expertise using MS Office Products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access or other database experience requiring schema definition and data manipulation).
  • Experience working with CMMI and ISO 9000CM requirements.
  • Experience in Windows, Linux, and UNIX Operating System Environments.
This position can be a Systems Engineer or Senior Systems Engineer based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

In compliance with Colorados Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $63,300 to $110,800; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidates work experience, education/training, and key skills.
