Job Summary:

The Weapons & Platforms Center (W&PC) within the Systems Integration and Test Directorate, Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD) is seeking candidates for the role of a Missile Systems Integrator for hardware with strong knowledge in hardware testing at the sub assembly level, to full assembly level with Flight Test experience. This Flight Test Support Engineer position will be primarily involved with missile hardware integration and or flight test. This is a demanding, hands-on, lab and direct flight test support position. You must be willing to work non-standard and extended hours under potentially extreme conditions. Location is Eglin, AFB.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Missile hardware integration
  • Flight line missile equipment preparation
  • Flight test planning, execution, and data review of both captive carry and live fire testing
  • You will use COMSEC equipment, AIS computers, and telemetry equipment
  • You will support test system maintenance and operation as well as hardware/software integration, and developmental testing tasks in both a lab and a field environment
  • Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to modifying existing procedures to adapt to new test environments/requirements
  • You will contribute to the build, integration, and test activities associated with an end item, maintain accountability of hardware/software configurations and ensure completeness of all documentation
  • You will be communicating directly with both internal and external customers on a daily basis
U.S. Citizenship status is required, as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.

Qualifications you must have:
  • A minimum of eight (8) years related professional experience in electronics, computers and mechanical systems. Must be capable of lifting 25 lbs. in an industrial environment.
  • Bachelor's degree and minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience or equivalent Military experience.
  • Experience with laboratory test equipment, electronics and software.
  • Experience with the installation, testing and troubleshooting of avionics and electronic warfare systems.
  • Experience maintaining configuration control of products and drawings and knowledge of Communications Security (COMSEC) equipment and Classified computer security requirements .
  • Experience troubleshooting varied electronic equipment.
  • Willing and able to travel. Up to 30% travel possible. This will be mostly domestic but could include some international sites.

Qualifications We Value:
  • Knowledge of telemetry software and associated
  • Demonstrated thorough knowledge Windows based PCs, software and peripheral hardware
    At least eight years of relevant electronic, computer or mechanical experience strongly preferred.
  • Intermediate engineering skills, hands on experience with laboratory test equipment, electronics and software preferred.
  • Ability to work well in diverse teams and have the ability to multi-task

  • Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced teaming environment.
  • Written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with and take direction from Functional Management and IPTs from multiple programs
  • Perform successfully in an open environment with frequent and direct interaction with Government customers and peers
  • Familiar with Lumistar or similar type telemetry systems
  • Telemetry dictionary manipulation
  • Familiar with flight line operations, lab environments, and explosive operations
