We are searching for several Mid-level Modeling/Simulation/Analysis Engineers to join a growing team of engineering professionals who share a mission of protecting our war fighters and allies.

The Algorithm & Simulation (AS) Directorate is responsible for algorithm development including radio-frequency (RF) and electro-optical/infrared (EO-IR) Signal Processing; Guidance, Navigation, and Control; and missile-and-sensor-level Modeling and Simulation for RMD's broad portfolio of projects, programs and products. The M&S teams within the A&S Directorate provide, develop, and maintain high fidelity performance simulations (including multiple sensor channels, scene generation capability, control hardware, physical environment, and embedded software), execute system performance analysis (including pre-flight prediction, post flight matching, and verification and validation), support new business initiatives and develop & execute technology roadmaps. Job Description:

  • Systems Engineer to lead a group of agile scrum teams with effective system engineering process and artifacts for the Algorithms and Simulation Department at Schriever AFB, CO.
  • Work with a team of engineers and software developers on the development and implementation of a suite of sensor models used for element and system level analysis and verification and validation
  • Provide expertise on the development of system and software requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Provide system engineering expertise the software development lifecycle for Missile Defense Agency sensors
  • Develop and support sensor model regression testing plans, as well as automated behavior validation
  • Develop and use system engineering processes and tools, test software for modeling and simulation products, particularly with an emphasis on system-level testing, and evaluate code performance
  • Configure complex tests, reporting and tracking problems, and working with developers to resolve problems
  • Provide system engineering support for BMDS events including performance assessments, exercises, wargames, element software development/testing, system development, risk reduction, ground/flight tests and mission planning
  • Working with IPT Leadership, guide OSM Team through applicable IPDS gates and product milestones
Required Skills:
  • 8+ years of experience in system/software development life cycles and agile development practices
  • RADAR algorithms including signal processing, tracking, and discrimination
  • BMDS Radar Domain experience
  • Radar Modeling and Simulation Experience
  • Model Based Systems Engineering
  • Strong Communication Skills (written, verbal)
  • DOORs, MATLAB, JIRA Experience
  • Experience Successfully Leading Formal Technical Reviews
  • Experience Delivery of DALs/CDRLs
  • Experience Successfully Leading an Engineering Team
  • Working directly with Government Customers
  • Analysis of Radar Models
  • Mathematics related to Radar
  • Active SECRET Security Clearance
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with MDA RADAR systems: AN/TPY-2, Cobra Dane, SBX, and UEWR
  • Experience working in an Agile Environment Software Development in C++ or Java
  • Discrete Event Simulation Knowledge
  • Master's or advanced degree in engineering, math or physics
Required Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, math, or physics
