As a Material Program Manageryoure a self-starter, capable of developing and achieving program objectives in a matrix environment and able to successfully interface with functional and program leadership. In short, youre able to lead and influence cross-functional teams without having any direct reports.
In this highly visible role, youre a member of the Patriot Product Line, and as the Supply Chain interface to Patriot programs youre the liaison between Supply Chain and the Patriot Missile Integrated Product Team (IPT). Youll create and execute Material Product Strategies and the Material Product Plans to ensure the execution of products and programs from the front end of the business through contract closure. You will own the budget for all procured parts and supply chain related labor tied to any programs that you are managing.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Communication of customer flow-through requirements - Owning and maintaining the accuracy of the budget for all buy parts and supply chain labor for your assigned programs - Completing quarterly financial management reviews using Earned Value Management through the EAC (Estimate At Complete) process - Accountable for all procurement metrics and driving procurement to meet MRP needs - Managing and resolving any issues on your portion of the missile bill of materials that impact supply chains efforts of placing POs or receiving in material to meet MRP needs - Flowing up any supply chain issues to program and IPT management - Helping maintain and improve supplier relationships - Developing and executing material product strategies - Managing product purchase/subcontract requirements - Tracking and communicating key product area performance metrics such as kit availability, Non-supporting POs, and purchase reqs on hold - Driving/participating in Six Sigma projects (both Supply Chain and Program) and partnering with internal and external customers - Supporting weekly and monthly program and IPT Reviews on your portion of the missile bill of materials - Spearheading Risk & Opportunities identification and mitigation/capture efforts that could impact the supply chain budget - Involvement with supplier management efforts associated with suppliers critical to program success
Required Skills:
6+ years of Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, Program or Project Management experience
Experience leading or participating in cross functional teams
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Computer experience including the use of Microsoft Office Suite
Obtaining level 4 Material Program Manager certification within 1 year of hire
The ability to obtain a secret level security clearance

Earned Value Management Certification

Experience working with Risk and Opportunity Management or sales
Experience with proposal preparation or management
Qualified Six Sigma Specialist or equivalent
Advanced degree (e.g., Masters Degree in Business Administration, Manufacturing Operations, or Supply Chain Management)
