This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced individual with solid leadership, collaboration skills, business acumen and technical aptitude to join RMD's Global Supply Chain Management team in support of Land Warfare & Air Defense Programs.
As a member of the Global Supply Chain Management Team supporting RMDs Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor (LTAMDS) program, the Principal Material Program Manager leads all supply chain activities supporting program objectives through the program capture and prototype development phases. In this highly visible role you will work with the Capture Team, Program Office, Business Development, the Integrated Product Teams, and the supply base to understand and execute customer requirements.
Integral to the success of this role is demonstrating leadership and management within the greater Supply Chain organization to meet Program requirements. This will require collaboration with Front End of the Business (FEOTB), Subcontracts, Procurement, and other Supply Chain disciplines within and across multiple locations and business units.
Additionally, the candidate will develop relationships with critical and key suppliers supporting execution activities and help define partnering strategies that meet the customers, RMD's, and suppliers missions and business objectives.
Responsibilities will include:
Developing, implementing, and maintaining material program strategies and plans
Managing program supply chain proposal activities
Executing supply chain scope for the production of a prototype sensor system
Achieving program supply chain cost and schedule reduction objectives
Supplier risk and opportunity management
This position will be located in Tewksbury, MA and may require ~10-20% travel, primarily domestic
This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only US Citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Required Skills
6+ years of Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Finance, Quality, Program or Project Management experience
Experience with budget management, finance or Earned Value Management System
Experience leading or participating in cross functional teams
US Citizenship is required.
Desired Skills:
Experience with Supply Chain strategies, processes, and procedures
Experience working in the Aerospace & Defense industry
Project or program management experience
Effective leadership and communication skills with proven ability to interact at all levels of Management
Working knowledge of product development processes (i.e. IPDS), risk management, and master scheduling
Ability to work within a technical environment developing and implementing practical solutions to a range of supply chain challenges
Ability to convert business area and customer requirements into executable strategies
Ability to effectively establish and maintain positive working relationships with other functional organizations.
Demonstrated ability to resolve problems in a timely, effective manner, including exercising judgment in complex or ambiguous scenarios.
Working knowledge of Manufacturing, Engineering, Finance, Contracts, and Quality functions
Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Other Transactional Agreements (OTA)
IDS Material Program Manager Certification or willingness to achieve certification within 1 year of hire
Accomplished in the use of MS Office (i.e. Word, Power Point, Excel and Project)
