Job Summary:
As Principal Logistics Specialist, you will contribute to a fast-paced innovative team and work closely with Property and Logistics functional management, Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), suppliers, contracts and other functions that support the Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD) property system. The ideal candidate will be a strong individual contributor with the ability to effectively collaborate with these functions to develop and implement tactical goals, influence system solutions, facilitate forward thinking initiatives to include streamlining and integrating processes, and incorporate best-in-class reliable solutions for customer and enterprise requirements.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  1. Primary program contact for all matters concerning management of assets to include Special Test Equipment, Equipment, Special Tooling and Material
  2. Consistently display effective communication and leadership behaviors
  3. Development and delivery of training and awareness materials tailored to audiences such as program leadership, engineering, lab management and other functional organizations
  4. Integrate a culture of improvement and efficiency into the Logistics / Property organization driving innovative solutions and affordability
  5. Project lead and or participant for initiatives to elevate the organization
  6. Ensure compliance with all regulations and internal/external audit protocols
  7. Primary contact for special programs DCMA and customers (internal/external) to support audits and shape proactive relationships
  8. Evaluation of leading and lagging metrics that drive and/or affect the property system
  9. Daily interaction with other teams, programs, and Business Units (BUs) to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives
  10. Develop talent of other individuals within the organization to continuously raise business and property acumen
  11. Ability to obtain special programs access

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelors degree Supply Chain, Business or related is required
  • Minimum of 6 years relevant work experience encompassing a strong working knowledge of Logistics and Property Management theory as well as experience in the Logistics, Property, Operations, Supply Chain or Program functions
  • Experience in government property and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) compliance areas including interpreting and implementing FAR and DFAR contract property requirements
  • Leadership experience and team management ideally in a fast-paced matrix environment responding quickly to shifting priorities, rapid customer requests and holding other accountable to their commitments
  • Experience interfacing with all levels within an organization
  • Leadership skills to motivate employees while driving change
  • National Property Management Association, CPPS certification or able to obtain certification within 1 year of employment
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Value:

  • Understanding of FAR/DFAR requirements and regulations
  • Desired candidate will exhibit an executive presence and the ability to effectively communicate with program managers, directors, functional leadership, customer representatives and government agencies related to property activities
  • Skilled in team building, conflict resolution and relationship management to create an effective partnering environment that includes credibility, respect and trust
  • Adapt quickly to changing situations and urgent requests to ensure that RMD business needs are met
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships based on mutual respect with peers, customers and team members
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to plan, control and direct activities and resources
  • Self-Starter who requires minimal supervision, as well as the ability to manage priorities
  • Knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), disclosure statements and Sarbanes Oxley
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Previous DoD experience
