The RMD DT Digital Business Management organization is looking for a DT Mission Area Asset Management Manager to support the RMD asset management program for hardware and software. The role will drive and support the daily operational and long-term strategic management of technology related DT assets (hardware and software) used by mission areas for program operations. This responsibility includes execution/improvement of existing processes and design/implementation of new processes to establish and maintain the accuracy of asset information to achieve compliance.
Accountable for optimizing the full lifecycle of Hardware and Software Asset Management within the mission areas
Leverage leadership capabilities to assist team members and drive operational efficiency
Collaborate with stakeholders to sustain compliance, and mitigate cybersecurity risk
Coordinate delivery or deployment of assets to classified or mission area unique environments
Use ITAM tools to capture and track all hardware and software asset lifecycle data
Run, analyze and publish reports on asset information
Manage process for tagging equipment, and capturing required asset information
Manage physical asset tags and associated paperwork by assigning tags for equipment
Perform inventories to ensure data completeness and accuracy of technology infrastructure and software deployments, mitigate discrepancies and monitor changes
Oversee hardware and software inventory
Develop, document, and maintain IT Asset Information Management processes in mission areas
Collaborate with team to optimize use of assets and exploit opportunities to reuse existing assets
Handle requests to update data on leased and purchased assets
Facilitate the asset disposal process by performing due diligence on the assets targeted for disposal and by managing the required documentation (wipe certifications and custodial documents).
Capture software license entitlement purchases and add entitlement records into ITAM tools
Leverage available discovery tools and capabilities to establish hardware and software installation inventories
Support inventory of software installations required for annual license true ups
Support investigations and responses for internal or external audits
Support vendor compliance audits and lead remediation activities
Provide input into the development and assist in the implementation of and adherence to standards, processes and tools for asset management and asset inventory throughout the asset lifecycle
Research industry best practices and compare against organizations practices in order to establish benchmarks for managing DT assets
Respond to escalated asset management issues and determine appropriate course of action to resolve issues
Support efforts to identify and remediate installations of software with security vulnerabilities and drive out end-of-life software titles from the install base
Participate in special projects to mitigate risks and/or realize opportunities related to IT Asset Information in the mission areas
Provide additional assistance on ad hoc requirements as necessary
Qualified candidate may be able to work remote at management discretion.
Required Education, Experience and Skills:
Bachelors Degree in supply chain, finance, business, or STEM related field
Minimum 8 years of experience in asset management service operations
Knowledge of asset and service management solutions (Eracent, ServiceNow, SCCM)
Direct experience with the Microsoft Office suite of tools (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio)
Knowledge of industry best practices in management of assets including common lifecycle states and processes
Demonstrated knowledge of hardware and software configuration and licensing terminology
Demonstrated knowledge of software licensing and entitlement models
U.S. Citizenship is required
Active secret clearance or the ability to obtain one within 12 months of employment
Desired Education, Experience and Skills:
Masters Degree preferred
Experience working with all levels of a large organization including cross-business teams and external vendors
Experience with process improvement methodologies/concepts/techniques
Management of small to mid-sized teams consisting of experienced professionals

IAITAM Certification
Proficiency with SAP, ServiceNow, or similar systems/tools
