The Mechanical Products Team (MPT) is responsible for mechanical design, analysis, and test of all sensor and effector products across the RMD portfolio. The Mechanical Product Team uses state-of-the-art tools, processes, technology, and Raytheon Six Sigma principles.

The Configuration and Data Management (CDM) organization is responsible for ensuring our products are under configuration control and delivered on time. The CDM Organization consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Disciplines in the CDM organization participate in the life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. The CDM organization is comprised of Effector CM (ECM), Data Management (DM/DEX), Software Configuration Management (SWCM), and Sensor CM (SCM).

The Data Management, Engineering Support and Execution (DEX) department is looking for an individual to perform the role of Principal Data Manager-Engineering Services

This position is located in Tucson, AZ

Responsibilities to Anticipate
  • Identifies all data deliverables made part of a contract
  • Builds a data track in a Product Data Management (PDM) system
  • Identifies, with help from the Program Office, the appropriate preparers, receives the data within PDM, and reviews the data for compliance
  • Solicits and secures appropriate programmatic approval, and delivers the information to the customer on time, throughout the lifecycle of the contract.
  • Reviews sub-tier contractor requirements, builds data tracks for supplier submissions, and receives data from various suppliers
  • Approval routing, and/or incorporation, into prime contractor deliverables to the customer
  • Secure non-deliverable program work products to be configuration controlled in the PDM system and other related tasking
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Read and comprehend deliverables contracts for
  • Capture, manage, and track data deliverables and/or receivables in a PDM system
  • Manage the data deliverable schedule, and provide timely data to the customer
  • Learn and understand contractually required markings applied to data
  • Update forecast reports and providing them to the appropriate stakeholders
  • Provide metrics related to on-time deliveries and outstanding dispositions upon request
  • Review and approve sub-tier supplier statements of work for data requirements
  • Support program meetings, and provide training to program personnel, customers, and/or suppliers
  • Handling and protection of Company Intellectual Property (IP), U.S. government IP, and classified information
  • Provide data and status estimate of completion
  • Role can require extended hours due to fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Providing support, training and guidance to team members in like-role
Qualifications you must have:
  • Bachelors Degree
  • 5 years of work experience related to data/configuration management and/or contract execution
  • 5 years of work experience in a customer support/service role
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • An active and in-scope DoD US security clearance
Qualifications we value:

  • Knowledge of U.S. government specifications and instructions such as the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), Data Item Descriptions (DIDs), Department of Defense (DoD) Instruction 5230.24 Distribution Statements on Technical Documents, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) (DoD 5220.22-M)
  • Experience with Windchill PDM
  • Earned Value curriculum or certification completion
