Job Summary:
The SHORAD Finance team (SHOrt Range Air Defense) within the LW&AD (Land Warfare and Air Defense) Mission Area has an immediate need for a Financial Analyst (Principal Specialist, FP&A) to provide support to our portfolio of efforts. SHORAD Programs include Coyote and Rapid Development Programs (CRDP) Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, and MRFRs Radar Programs. The portfolio is a major growth driver for LW&AD as it is heavily engaged in emerging growth markets for Counter-UAS, Loitering Effects and non-kinetic defeats. Over the course of the next year, the SHORAD Programs Finance Team Lead will play a critical role in both executing current backlog and winning key competitions to capture large potential in the multiple new defense markets we are engaged in.

The ideal candidate for this role will be an excellent communicator with a strong desire to learn while being aggressively challenged. Competitive applicants must have the ability to think on their feet, make decisions in a fast paced environment, manage competing priorities and interact with a various levels of management. This position will provide an opportunity to take skills in financial planning, PRISM, estimates at complete and variance analysis and apply them to capture critical foreign and domestic competitive pursuits.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  1. Management of earned value contracts, analysis of program performance, utilization of PRISM tools, assisting with initial baseline for new awards
  2. Interfacing with Cost Account Managers, Program Management, the Integrated Product Leadership Team, and ensuring compliance with financial policies.
  3. Provide feedback, peer review and input to finance team work product of all types to help ensure appropriate messaging and focus
  4. Provide training and mentoring to team members
  5. Support review and forecast of Bookings, Sales, Earnings and Cash forecast to Financial Planning
  6. Summary contract level inputs and updates to Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and 5-year sales objectives
  7. Contribute to cross-functional teams with an emphasis on financial implications of team decisions and ensure finance team knowledge of program decisions
  8. Develop, utilize and disseminate process improvement and tool improvement opportunities to enhance analytical opportunities for the entire finance team
  9. Ad-hoc request support in a fast-paced environment

An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience as follows: Master's is equal to 2 years of experience or a Ph.D. is equal to 4 years of experience.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor degree in Business, Math, Finance, Accounting or a directly related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial analysis or related finance experience
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, primarily Excel, Analysis and Powerpoint
  • Earned Value Management (EVMS) experience is required
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Additional Details:
This role is Part-time telecommuting and can be located near an RMD site Tucson, AZ. McKinney, TX, Andover, MA or Tewksbury MA - Relocation provided
