Responsibilities to Anticipate:
The Radar Test Contract team in Huntsville, Alabama is looking for a Hardware Engineering Lead. This candidate will develop, plan, coordinate and integrate system-related requirements to support BMDS operational Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) needs. General knowledge of integration testing, test configuration management, data management, and IT skills are required. This position will require operating within a lab environment with peers resolving technical challenges or implementing advance capabilities for the Open Systems Signal Injector product. This includes both the physical maintenance and management of equipment and their technical/operating system configurations. Although this role is responsible for leading a small group of engineers in a hands on role in regard to equipment management.
  • Coordinate and perform hardware installations, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance
  • Support integration of systems into existing test suite following software updates and changes
  • Plan and design system upgrades in geographically dispersed System Integration Labs
  • Work with different groups including supply chain, security, cyber, property management, and software to accomplish goals

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • 6+ years related system design, integration and test experience
  • Experience installing new or rebuilding existing servers both physical and virtual, and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, and storage.
  • Experience in Radar test lab Environment
  • Experience installing and operating Red Hat Linux real-time operating systems
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or related technical discipline
  • An active and in scope DoD Secret security clearance


Qualifications We Value:
  • Familiar with the operation and/or analysis at least one of the following radars AN/TPY-2, SBX or UEWR
  • Ability to effectively execute tasks, resolve unexpected issues and meet challenging schedules in a research and development program environment
  • Experience with creation of status briefings and delivering those documents to managers and key program stakeholders
  • Experience with GPU system integration
  • Operating system configuration experience, specifically Red Hat Linux (troubleshooting using tools such as ifconfig, lspci, makefile, rpm, nvidia tools, LUKS)
  • Ability to build your own PC
