The Preventative Maintenance Planner will be responsible for the planning and support required for preventative maintenance and load testing activities on Special Tooling, Test and Material Handling Equipment at RMD in Tucson, AZ.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Planning and scheduling maintenance work orders
  • Act as a liaison between PM Technicians and their customers
  • Support day to day activities of employees and provide technical assistance to them as required
  • Input and extract data from SAP/PRISM database
  • Monitor the evolution of the teams key performance indicators and maintain strategic direction for process management
  • Monitor performance in order to pledge timely job completion for customers, maintain high productivity levels and ensure future sustainability levels
  • Champion continuous process improvements that reduce cycle times and costs associated with preventative maintenance and load certifications of material handling equipment
  • Monitor a team of hourly technicians and ensure compliance with Raytheon directives and industry regulations
  • Articulate business goals, company policies, terms and conditions as well as opportunities and risks
This position can be Planning Production Control Specialist I or Planning Production Specialist II depending on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience as follows: Masters is equal to 2 years of experience or a Ph.D. is equal to 4 years of experience.


Qualifications You Must Have:
Planning Production Control Specialist I
  • Bachelors Degree or additional 2 years of experience in a preventative maintenance, manufacturing, or military environment may be substituted for each 1 year of college (8 years without a Bachelors Degree)
  • Experience with one of the following: electrical systems, tools, equipment or safety procedures/practices
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Planning Production Control Specialist II
  • Bachelors Degree or additional 2 years of experience in a preventative maintenance, manufacturing, or military environment may be substituted for each 1 year of college (8 years without a Bachelors Degree)
  • Two (2) years of experience with one of the following: Preventative Maintenance, Logistics Planning or Reliability Engineering
  • Experience with one of the following: electrical systems, tools, equipment or safety procedures/practices
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Value:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management
  • Experience working with teams/projects cross-functionally at all levels, customers and technicians alike
  • Experience utilizing maintenance scheduling software
  • Experience with Reliability Engineering and Predictive Maintenance
  • Experience with requirements associated with Property Management of Government owned property
  • Experience with requirements for the maintenance of Special Tooling & Special Test Equipment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word, Project) applications
  • Proven capability and strong desire to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
  • Supervisory experience
  • SAP/PRISM knowledge and proficiency
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing Principles
  • Six Sigma training and/or experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work out of scope tasks and shuffle resources as required
  • Active DOD Secret Clearance
