This job req. is for Pre-Silicon Validation Manager position in Foundational Security Team's (FST) HW IP which caters to several market segments (CCG, Graphics, IOTG, Servers etc.) across Intel. FST HW team is chartered with delivering security solution across Intel products and scaling its portfolio to meet the expanded charter. Candidate will be working with various team members across functional orgs. and managers to drive the deliverables across the Product Life Cycle of the IP.

Excellent communication and organization skills are critical, along with teamwork, and must demonstrate strong leadership skills, passion for being a change-agent and demonstrate strong management skills. Must have strong orientation for Quality and Commit and Deliver and Driving Innovation/efficiencies and have a strategic thinking mindset to promote technical bench-strength and IP roadmap enhancements.

As a manager, the candidate is expected to set priorities for the team, get results across boundaries, ensure an inclusive work environment, develop employees, and manage performance. Work with peer staff members and upper management on IP planning and provides resources for + directs activities in engineering function to meet schedules, standards, and cost.

Key skillset includes:
o Cultivating and reinforcing appropriate group values, norms and behaviors.
o Identifying and analyzing problems, plans, tasks, and solutions.
o Providing guidance on employee development, performance, and productivity issues.
o Planning and scheduling daily tasks, use judgement on a variety of problems requiring deviation from standard practices.
o Work with various cross functional, matrixed team members composed of managers and technical leads and provides guidance on performance for functional teams and acts as a key interface with stakeholders and leadership internally
o Manage projects or programs where consistent decisions are made regarding the overall goals and objectives of significant roadmap for the organization through all phases of the lifecycle.
o Manages interdependencies and integration among multiple projects, teams and validation stakeholders.
o Aid in the development, definition, and execution of POR that include schedules, resources, deliverables, and risks/mitigation
o Work with team to sets direction for programs by determining and balancing the technical need vs business impact of project/program decisions and operates within the guardrails.
o Creates/tracks/adjusts the program status and rolls up assessment of risks to identify solutions to timely, efficient achievement of program goals.
o Ensures that quality standards and budget constraints are met + Follows up on quality aspects such as checklists / HSDs/ Feature PCRs.
o Tracks and Reports appropriate progress against schedule and highlights critical paths.
o Initiative, Leadership, strategic thinking, coupled with analytical, technical, project management, and influencing skills where the candidates has an understanding of the technical concepts,
architecture, systems, development methods, and disciplines associated with the defined program.
o Skills to deal with certain level of ambiguity and support multiple concurrent projects and activities.


Minimum Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and the following experience:

  • 4+ years of experience in Validation / Project Lead roles

  • 3+ years of experience in managing teams and driving project execution

  • 3+ years of experience in versatile knowledge and experience in Pre-silicon Validation or development in one or more areas such as silicon, Arch, SW, planning, RTL Design, Validation

Preferred Requirements :

  • Knowledge of Product Life Cycle from Concept definition to Silicon productization is a definite plus.

  • Understanding of pre and post-Silicon design, manufacturing, validation, quality, and reliability processes.

  • Experience working with Architecture, Firmware/Software, and Platform engineering teams.

  • Strong business acumen and experience collaborating with Architecture and Design while driving program validation requirements.
