In this role responsibilities include, although are not limited to:

  • Define, document, design verification plans for SoC (System on a Chip) development
  • Create plans and tests for validating portions of a complex microarchitecture using written specs, RTL code, Firmware and other tests as a guide
  • Define module interfaces/formats for simulation
  • Participate in the debug of failures on silicon and develop new testing strategies to detect these failures on RTL models
  • Develop and utilize various debug and validation tools and/or methodologies to implement validation plans with the goal being to ensure a solid design
  • Analyze equipment to establish operation infrastructure, conduct experimental tests and evaluate results
  • Review vendor capability to support development
  • Learn the architecture, microarchitecture and Power Management flows by debugging failures to the root cause
  • Engage with IP providers and customers to define, develop and deliver necessary infrastructure and address issues found during execution
  • Develop tools and methods to streamline PM IP development, PM HW/FW integration, and SOC integration to deliver highest quality design in shortest time possible
  • Develop debug tools and validation software


  • Exceptional technical leadership skills and technical expertise in solving complex problems through technical forums and help deliver SoCs and products at a pace faster than prior art
  • Well-versed individual who can contribute in the technical reviews of design and mentor other engineers in the organization and own critical program and technical assessment to senior management
  • Proven track record of product development from concept all the way through to production
  • Strong record of collaboration, team building and strengthening partnerships; ability to work effectively and influence leads or teams across organizations.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and have as much fun and growth as possible in the process


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidate must have earned a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or Computer Science and have 4+ years of relevant experience -OR- a Masters Degree Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or Computer Science and have 3+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifying relevant experience for this role consists of:

  • Industry experience with  Power Management(PM) verification of IPs or SoC, PM Firmware, SoC development, verification using Verilog/SystemVerilog/OVM/UVM and RTL debug
  • Writing validation plans and debugging validation tests and HW or FW
  • UNIX* or Linux*

Preferred Qualifications:

1+ years of additional experience with:

  • Power Management Computer Architecture
  • Python, C++ and/or Verilog* programming

2+ years of experience with:

  • Validation or Testing, especially in a Silicon Design team
