Job Description

Come join Intel's Devices Development Group organization to work on Power and Performance Design Verification. In this role you will be working as part of a design team for future Intel SoCs or IPs. As a member of the product team, you will work firsthand with multi-function teams/sites, implementing and validating state-of-the-art PnP solutions appropriate for new and existing technology in the product. You will be working with pre-silicon and post-silicon validation teams to correlate and debug silicon to meet product power and battery life requirements

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Power analysis at the RTL and gate levels using industry standard tools like PA, PTPX and other tools and methodologies
  • Identify architectural, RTL and gate level improvements and drive the changes into the design
  • Ability to understand, debug and modify Verilog RTL using industry standard design tools
  • Familiarity with power management architecture - active and idle power flows
  • Analyze power management flows to identify and define latency optimizations to improve battery life
  • Proactively drive continuous improvement through enhancement of existing tools and development of new tools and methodologies
  • Power measurement tools like PA and PTPX
  • Working knowledge of tests and general verification environment in System Verilog/OVM/UVM
  • Ability to collaborate with Architecture, Design, Pre- and Post silicon validation teams to achieve the power efficiency goals and improve the battery life of product

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Education Requirement

Must have either a Bachelors or a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum 4 years' experience doing pre- or post- silicon verification.
Minimum 5 years' experience with reading and interpreting technical specs and Register Transfer Level (RTL) code.
Minimum 5 years' experience working on IP or SoC development, verification, or integration using Verilog/SystemVerilog/OVM/UVM.

Minimum 3 year experience with UNIX or Linux.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience with writing validation plans and software to implement those validation plans
  • Minimum 1 year experience with computer architecture
  • Minimum 1 year experience with IA-32 assembly and/or Verilog programming experience
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with validation or testing experience, especially in a silicon design team
  • Debugging power features in Post-Si environment is a plus
  • Familiarity of OS, driver and SoC power interactions
  • Identifying power optimizations in post-silicon across OS, BIOS, drivers and SoC
  • Experience using logic analyzers and oscilloscopes in post silicon environment
