Job Description

Our team plays a key role in ensuring silicon and system-level quality through Pre-Silicon Systems (PSS). Leveraging your software engineering skills in this highly visible group, you will deliver complete integrated pre-silicon platforms to enable validation and development of our portfolio of next generation of graphics and data center products. You will be working on the integration bring-up and debug of the full FW/SW/HW stack of components on our continuum of pre-silicon platforms - Virtual Platforms, FPGA, and emulation. You will be leveraging your technical and leadership skills with architects, developers, and cross functional teams to enable complex flows in pre-silicon drive execution and ensure Intel meets its time to market and quality goals.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Deliver complete, integrated pre-silicon platforms to enable pre-silicon validation and development.
  • Drive integration and bring up of BIOS, firmware and software stacks with emulation, FPGA, and virtual platforms.
  • Drive infrastructure enhancements and BKMs in platform release flows and automation.
  • Provide customer support and debug across pre-silicon platforms.
  • Achieve high quality results in a dynamic cross-group work environment.
  • Understand features, requirements, architecture and boot flow design.
  • Lead system level integration bring up and debug of boot flows and IP in pre-silicon environments.
  • Firmware development, integration, and debug on HW and SW platform components like CPU, microcontrollers, BIOS, operating systems.
  • Generate customer releases, document results, communicate project status and provide training.
  • Drive implementation of standardized processes and participate in continuous improvements of processes and supporting tools.
  • Architecture and development of software tools and automation flows that improve efficiency of overall team and customers.
  • Execution of system level use cases tracking execution and sightings.

Candidates must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidate.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidate must have a Bachelors or a Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering with 5+ years of experience in:

  • C or C++, Python, and low-level debug
  • Software engineering development process and project life cycle
  • Leading and managing projects.
  • Software, firmware, or system level development.
  • Development of UEFI BIOS firmware using Intel architecture.
  • Debug in Linux Android and/or Windows environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in low-level programming, system architecture, RTL, operating systems or device architecture.
  • Detailed knowledge of IP or subsystem architecture such as Power Management, Graphics, Security or RAS.
  • Prior working and debug experience on FPGA, Emulation, or Virtual Platform.
  • Prior working experience in system debug and technical Issue tracking
  • Prior Technical PM experience.
