Job Description

The Pre-Si Quality and Reliability Component Design Engineer  will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Apply technical expertise in the areas of VLSI design, design verification, and execution of design simulations.
  • Develop new design methods, flows, and tools with a focus on the quality and reliability (QnR) aspect of the circuit design.
  • Focus of the work is with SOC and Hard IP design teams on the soft error reliability aspect of the circuit design.
  • Establish technical expertise within a team of pre-Si design Quality and Reliability Engineers and lead overall partnership with design teams in Hard IP, SOC design for soft error analysis and feature recommendations to manage product impact.
  • Work with technology partners on calibrating soft error reliability models to product data.
  • Beyond the soft error reliability aspect of circuit design, longer-term the candidate may expand work in areas of design reliability such as Device Aging, Interconnect Reliability, ESD (Electro Static Discharge), LU (Latch-Up) and design/package interaction.


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.  

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The candidate must possess a Master of Engineering degree with +8Yrs or Ph.D. with 5+ years of experience in VLSI design, semiconductor process fabrication, device engineering, semiconductor qualification, or related field of study.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in project management and overall knowledge of VLSI design flow, technology development, and device physics.
  • Practical experience in the area of soft error reliability.
