Job Description

At Intel, We are looking for engineers who continuously learn, teamwork, and can come out with different ideas. You will be joining Intel Client Computing Group (CCG), the leader and the innovator in the PC industry delivering PC platforms that power every person's greatest contribution.

In this position, you will be trained to deliver the power integrity solutions of Intel latest CPU/SoC designs for both desktop and mobile PC.

The work includes but not limited to:

  • Design and simulate the power delivery network with the considerations of new Si technology, voltage rail merging and isolation, package and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) stack up, and various decoupling cap that envelops multiple solution spaces to maximize the computational performance, achieve high power efficiency, and meet the power noise targets and IO jitter budget.
  • Improve design processes and simulation methodology from DC to the high frequency on full systems encompassing voltage regulator, board, package, silicon, and decoupling or filtering.
  • Validate the design and correlate it with the performance target or the user experience index to enhance prediction capability, understand the design constraints/tradeoffs, and explore innovation.
  • Collaborate with IP designers/vendors, Si/platform architects, package designer, validation team, and customer support team, and so on during the product development cycle.
  • Partner with engineers in different domains such as signal integrity, Radio Frecuency (RF) and Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), thermal-mechanical, and power and performance to innovate and optimize solutions


You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Engineer, Computer Science, Electrical Engineer or Similar STEM degree
1+ year of Analog coursework or work experience , or combination

Preferred Qualifications:
1+ year course work or experience with any of the following :

  • Power/signal integrity, Power Electronics, RF, Microwave, or Electromagnetic theory.
  • IC Packaging and PCB structures and Transmission Line Theory.
  • EDA tools for doing power/signal integrity electrical simulation such as Sigrity PowerSI, PowerDC, HSpice, Matlab, ANSYS HFSS, etc.
  • Package/board CAD tools such as Cadence Allegro and Mentor Graphics.
  • Lab measurement with TDR, VNA, Oscilloscope, and/or Spectrum Analyzer.
