Job Description
Come join the Intel Xeon Server CPU Power and Performance team! We are looking for a Senior Power Architecture Engineer to join our team in taking Xeon Server CPU performance and power to the next level. We are looking for talented, motivated, articulate and deeply technical engineers to be part of our exciting journey into the future of SoCs.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Identify power and performance problems and opportunities, and map these to technical actions that could be taken.
  • Invent and drive the next generation of power management and performance improvement features for Xeon Servers.
  • Determine, specify and evaluate the viability of complex hardware/firmware features and structures and ensures that software and hardware designs interface correctly.
  • Define and document the architectural details and specifications of new features to improve performance or lower power consumption.
  • Partner with design, validation, business and customer teams to take new features and products to success.


Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science with 4+ years of experience, OR Master's Degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering or Computer Science with 3+ years of experience, OR PhD Electrical, Computer Engineering or Computer Science with 1+ years of experience or related field.

Your experience should be in the following

  • Architectural definition and analysis
  • Successful architecture or design of IPs and SoCs
  • Hardware or firmware architecture design or validation
  • Power Modeling or Power/Performance analysis
  • Technical leadership experience with a diverse array of highly skilled teams, including product definition, software teams, RTL design teams, verification teams and external vendors
  • Programming in C, C++ or Python
