The Video Computer Vision org is a centralized applied research and engineering team responsible for developing real-time on-device Computer Vision and Machine Perception technologies across Apple products. We focus on a balance of research and development to deliver Apple quality, state-of-the-art experiences. Our team prides itself on innovating through the full stack, and partnering with HW, SW and ML teams to influence the sensor and silicon roadmap that brings our vision to life.

Key Qualifications

• 5+ year experience in the area of power and performance analysis and optimization for embedded systems.
• Managed a team (anywhere between 2~10 people), either as a people manager or technical lead
• Familiar with hardware architecture, cache utilization, data streaming model
• Strong communication skills; great work ethic and teamwork

We're looking for a power and performance technical lead to help build and implement the methodology for measure and analyze the power and performance for next generation computer vision technology and emerging innovations. The ideal candidate will have strong passion to work with an engineering team to deliver high quality products and solve challenging technical real world problems. You work with cross functional teams including CV algorithm, HW design and driver teams in Cupertino and other locations to measure, analyze and help to optimize the power at both system level and in algorithm pipelines.

Education & Experience

PhD/MS (or equivalent) in the area of computer science, computer vision, imaging science, optics, is helpful.
