The 3D Systems Packaging Research Center (PRC), a research center within the Institute for Electronics and Nanotechnology at the Georgia Institute of Technology, is seeking a post-doctoral fellow in electromagnetics with a background in numerical methods including finite difference time domain, machine learning, and optimization. He/she will be responsible for leading a team of students in developing numerical solutions for scattering applications and will be working closely with DARPA and industry.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing algorithms and software code using matlab, python and others.
  • Advising and mentoring a diverse set of students with Electrical Engineering background
  • Meeting and presenting to industry members and DARPA on a periodic basis
  • Documenting task progress and writing reports

The PRC is an interdisciplinary research center comprised of faculty and graduate students from multiple schools, with a full-time research staff, and state-of-the-art shared user facilities. Please see for more details on the center.

  • PhD in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Experience in developing and implementing industry grade software
  • Strong background in electromagnetics, numerical methods, and machine learning applied to numerical problems arising in electromagnetics
