Job description

The research focuses on the cyber-security of critical infrastructures. The optimal operation of essential infrastructures demands the inclusion of the users' consumption and sensor data for monitoring the infrastructures. This data is ubiquitous and helps to develop sophisticated algorithms for machine learning, artificial intelligence, and optimization.

On the other hand, the user's data must be kept secret; hence, there is a need to develop secure optimization and control algorithms. In fact, not only the data has to be kept secret, but also the algorithms, being proprietary property, have to be protected from being disclosed to untrusted parties.

The optimal operation of large infrastructure requires control over a network, which leads to vulnerability. We address privacy preservation in control algorithms through distributed computation and Secure Multi-Party Computation.
