Job Description

The Internet of Things Group (IOTG) Portfolio Engineering Post Silicon Validation (PSV) team is chartered to validate IOTG features and products across the Atom, Client and Server roadmap. PSV is looking for an enthusiastic engineer to join a global team to ensure our devices meet our customers' specifications and use cases. The ideal candidate has a passion for validation, debug, and continuous improvement.

In this role responsibilities may include, although not limited to:

Creates, defines and develops system validation environment and test suites. Uses and applies emulation and platform level tools and techniques to ensure performance to spec. Responsible for the development of methodologies, execution of validation plans, and debug of failures. Requires broad understanding of multiple system areas and requires interfaces with Architecture, Design, and Pre-silicon Validation teams in improving post silicon test content and providing feedback for future on-die debug features.

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree or a Master's degree with 3+ years related experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering , Computer Science or related field.

Minimum of 4+ years of experience as BS or 3+ years of experience as MS in some of the following areas:

  • Hardware debugging

  • Software development and debugging

  • Post-Silicon validation

  • Experience with lab equipment (Logic Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers)

  • Developing test plans

  • Object-oriented programming in coding any of the following languages: C, C+, C#, Perl, and/or Python

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum of 4+ years of experience as BS or 3+ years of experience as MS in some of the following areas:

  • Emulation validation

  • PC architecture and Intel chip-sets

  • History of RTL, FW, and SW bug finding, developing workarounds, root cause

  • Knowledge in industry standards and Intel Architecture such as IA core, mesh/fabrics, power management, RAS, CXL, PCIe, GBE, etc.
