You will team with other members of the Fiber Group to design, develop, and test advanced fibers and fiber-based lasers, in support of DOE and DOD-based missions. This position falls within the DOD Technologies Program (DODT) of the NIF and Photon Science Directorate.

Essential Duties
- Plan and execute laboratory experiments to advance understanding of high-power fiber-based lasers.
- Team with LLNL scientists to design, build, and test novel fibers for lasers and sensors.
- Prepare and conduct technical presentations for internal and external audiences.
- Pursue independent (but complementary) research interests and interact with a broad spectrum of researchers internally and externally.
