Intels FPGA devices are at the forefront of emerging and established applications including Cloud and Edge platforms, 5G RAN, ASIC prototyping, embedded applications and offload acceleration for AI deep machine learning, financial genomics, database analytics and memory and storage expansion given their unique attributes of programmability, infield partial reconfigurability and fixed function IPs combined with logic and memory fabrics.

PSGs Platform Solutions Engineering team is seeking a senior experienced technologist to define and deliver leadership security features into these markets combining Intel FPGAs with SoCs, high speed networking, PCIe and coherent attach, structured and custom ASICs.

The leader will collaborate closely with PSGs IP and silicon design teams, product planning, marketing and business divisions to deliver reference and turnkey solutions including custom Silicon platforms and Development Platforms. This role will require in depth customer technical engagements related to system architecture and ensuring adoption of competitive and novel solution architectures.

The leader will influence both internally and externally to the organization and drive prioritization of architecture focus areas in line with business priorities. The candidate shall also evaluate investments to drive future technology development working with Industry and academia as needed. Candidate must be comfortable working with geodispersed teams and have strong oral and written communication skills and experience presenting in technical forums and influencing decisions in senior management forums.

The candidate will help establish a clear end user value proposition setting architectural and industry direction and building healthy ecosystems. Candidate will be required to manage strong internal and external networks, influence at the executive level and should be an exquisite communicator who delivers consistently exceptional results. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading the transformation of Intel from a product focused to a platform focused organization.


  • Candidate must possess a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or similar discipline with 5 years of proven experience in security technology development including the following areas:

  • Experience in end to end security attributes including authentication, authorization, confidentiality, attestation, verifiable boot and different forms of key provisioning and lifecycle management.

  • Experience in product Security Development Lifecycle.

  • Experience in established and emerging standards for crypto algorithms compliance and certification requirements for the customer ecosystems mentioned above.

  • Experience designing architectures for Root of Trust RoT, secure boot flows, definition and use of TEE and secure virtualization, key hierarchies, secure storage, token management, secure IO and secure debug.

  • Experience in security architecture of FPGAs and SoCs.

  • Experience designing security features at silicon and platform level and able to analyze solutions for different threat models. Familiarity with penetration testing, code scanning and inspection tools RTL, FW, SW) and validation of security features.
