Job Description

In this position, the candidate will be joining Intel's Internet of Things Group, Customer Engineering team working on Intel's latest products, providing direct customer design-in support to accelerate customers Time-To-Market. Candidate will be responsible for the technical support and customer enabling for OEMs and ODMs, across multiple platforms, technologies for the Xeon product line, as well as provide escalation support for mature product lines.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Product design-in and debug support

  • Review customer schematics and design layouts to ensure proper implementation of features

  • Be the voice of the customer to internal stakeholders

  • Respond to customer technical questions

  • Creation of application specific collateral, white papers, and application notes

  • Provide technical training for customers and Intel field application engineers

  • Travel internationally and domestically

The ideal candidate will have the following skills in addition to the qualifications below:

  • Self-driven and skills to effectively manage support of multiple programs in parallel

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Customer engagement experience and willing to create customer ready material, including strong technical writing and presentation skills

  • Exhibit strong influencing and customer orientation skills, with willingness to listen, understand and respond professionally to customers, and discuss technical details at multiple depth levels

Career development Opportunity:

  • Platform debug/triage techniques training/ramping will be provided as part of the onboarding process

  • Current training focus is on Xeon products enabling/debug


Minimum Qualifications:

Master or a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Communication Engineering or related field

2+ years of working experience in:

  • System level engineering

  • Intel Architecture and technologies

  • Intel platforms and troubleshooting skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Platform design-in support and debug experience are highly desirable

  • Experience in platform applications engineering or system design experience is desired

  • Experience with Xeon features and customer usages

  • Understanding of Operating Systems including Windows and Linux. Embedded system integration skills desired

  • Experience in basic platform bring-up (including HW assembly, SPI programming, basic trouble shooting), capturing logs via serial
