Job Description: Plan Production Control Manager
Raytheon Missiles & Defense Circuit Card Assembly Center of Excellence (COE) has an opening for a Production Control Manager. Responsibilities include full leadership and management accountability regarding the performance on all aspects of safety, schedule, and material management for the assigned operation area. This role requires supporting the deployment of manufacturing operations strategy to meet or exceed contractual schedule requirements. The successful candidate has extensive knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems in a manufacturing environment and utilizes data-driven decision making to enable effective material and workforce forecasting.
The Production Control Manager will be required to support the daily prioritization of the workload, track status to ensure requests are being completed in a timely manner; coordinate identified issues with the appropriate business and program contacts to rectify issues impacting MRP and initiate corrective actions. The Manager is responsible for analyzing material availability in support of contract requirements, developing and implementing release strategy, communicating factory priorities, identifying barriers and solutions to enable the factory to meet production rate, and taking appropriate action to ensure program goals are achieved. The Manager must be able to coordinate activities between numerous groups and clearly communicate program material status and identified risks. The Manager must operate effectively in a results-driven environment, maintaining accountability for data integrity including inventory accuracy, delivery metrics, and utilize tools to mitigate schedule risks. The Manager will be responsible for setting the standard and driving operational consistency throughout the organization as aligned with company, business, and operations initiatives. As a member of the Raytheon Technologies, this includes ensuring the full compliance of company policies and procedures as well as identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities using six sigma and lean methodologies.
This role requires daily collaboration across a variety of functional and program areas through data analysis, simulation, and fact-based influence to maintain organizational goals and objectives. These groups include Factory Operations, Program Operations, Manufacturing/Test/Design Engineering, Integrated Supply Chain, Finance, and Maintenance Operations. The individual in this role will need to quickly develop credibility and influence while leveraging strong interpersonal and leadership skills; aligning the operations execution plan to meet critical customer deadlines with supply chain strategies and financial targets. The Manager will engage across sites to develop and implement a robust plant for training, mentoring, and retaining a talented, diverse workforce. The successful candidate demonstrates a drive for innovative solutions and proven team leadership skills.
