Whole Life Engineering (WLE) is made up of several disciplines whose main objective is to influence hardware and systems early in their life cycle to assure effective operation, reliability, maintainability and economical ownership by the customer and end user. Full Spectrum Partnering Center is a division within WLE that fulfills High Mix/Low Volume contracts with engineering services and a specialized technician force.

Job Summary:
Were seeking a motivated professional to take on the role of Readiness and Prototype Fabrication Support Planning and Material Control Specialist providing meaningful field and on-site support to our various high mix / low volume programs and supporting Planning functions to load demand, report inventory status to support demand, and kit parts to the shop floor.

As a Planning and Material Control Specialist youll use your knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems and data-driven decision making to enable effective material and workforce forecasting. In this role, youll interface daily with cross functional teams, programs and business units to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives. Youll use your ability to quickly develop credibility and influence; aligning the operations execution plan to meet critical customer deadlines with supply chain strategies and financial targets.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:,
As a Planning and Material Control Specialist, youll be based at the Full Spectrum Partnering Center (FSPC) in Poulsbo, WA where youll work with Integrated Product Team Leads, Subject Matter Experts, Peer Technicians and the Customer.

Youll actively establish, lead and participate in efficiency improvement projects within FSPC material planning. In addition, youll foster a working environment that promotes safety, security, compliance and quality while achieving overall customer requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Safeguarding of classified/proprietary material, hardware and documentation
  • Material Availability Analysis, Tracking and Reporting
  • Coordinating kitting process with multiple stores and consolidation areas and managing kit readiness including working with cross-functional team in BOM, Material Master, Process Engineering, Operations and Document Control
  • Releasing manufacturing orders in MRP system and confirming in shop floor systems
  • Controlling the physical disposition of nonconforming or specially handled material including Return to Vendor, Purged material, WIP STOP per contractual restrictions, and configuration of components/sub-assemblies as required
  • Maintaining integrity of the shop floor, MRP, and inventory systems through key performance metrics
  • Processing piece part movement to support internal build requirements through subcontractors, internal resources, and other Raytheon Technologies facilities.

Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically Requires: AA/AS degree or other 2 year post high school training and 6 years of related experience.

Employment Experience:
  • Experience in any of the following: Supply Chain, Production and/or Planning Control, MRP, Inventory Management, Capacity Planning, Property Management, JIT Concepts, Master Production Scheduling, or Delivery Administration
  • Active and in-scope US Secret security clearance. US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Value:
  • Management, JIT Concepts, Master Production Scheduling, or Delivery Administration
  • Understanding of inventory management and warehouse environment
  • Understanding of an Operations/Factory Environment
  • Working knowledge for engineering drawings
  • Performing Top down breakdowns
  • Military specifications and government guidance documents for their relationships to parts
  • Ability to manage multiple database management systems
  • Ability to analyze data and develop cost reduction and error proofing projects
  • Ability to coordinate and influence resources to eliminate operational issues
  • APEX purchase requisition systems
  • Providing Sole Source Justifications and Authoring the use of Low-risk COTS Justifications
  • Hand delivering hardware to end customer
  • Generation of DD149 forms
  • Digital record maintenance, such as: Master Buy, Part transaction history, Inventory levels, DD149 issuance and logs, paper records of buy records and DD1149s
  • Working knowledge of MS excel, data entry and report generation
  • Current DOD Security Clearance
