Apple is looking for an experienced HR leader to support the Global Retail Support (GRS) team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with Sr. Business Leaders as a strategic partner, trusted advisor, coach and HR expert in providing the best possible employee experience, all while leading a team of professional People Business Partners in delivering on our vision and People solutions. You will play a significant role in shaping the employee experience that contributes to the long term vision and goals for the Retail organization. As a People Business Partner Leader who embodies our culture and core values as well as exemplifies trust and humility, you will lead and support significant initiatives like Inclusion & Diversity, Learning and development products and a culture of performance.

Key Qualifications

  • 10+ years proven experience in a HR management, generalist, and/or business partnering role
  • 3+ years experience managing a team of skilled human resource partners
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, including influencing and coaching senior leaders
  • Ability to develop aligned vision, clear direction and plans which support global and local business needs
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, both as a lead and a supporting team member.
  • Experience leading global projects of all sizes
  • Ability to lead, coach, mentor and advise where appropriate to help employees grow and develop in alignment with business and personal goals
  • Demonstrates flexibility and resourcefulness according to changing needs and priorities of the organization
  • Thorough and attentive to details
  • Organizational development expertise to inform recommendations and guide decision-making is critical

Description

In this role, you will partner closely with Corporate Retail business leaders and the People team to deliver a full spectrum of strategic and tactical programs to support the People and business objectives globally.
- Business Knowledge: Ensure depth of understanding of organizations supported, including key functions and processes
- Organizational Development and Design: Understands the needs of the organization to achieve maximum organizational performance and efficiencies. Advise and influence senior leaders across an evolving matrix organization on key organizational and employee concerns. Provide advice and counsel to senior leaders on talent and succession planning strategies for the business.
- Change Management: Ensure deep understanding of the purpose and impact of all ongoing change initiatives. Partner with and coach team and leadership on building a change agile organization that embraces innovation and aspires to constantly evolve. Ensure outstanding employee and customers experiences as part of the implementation.
- Talent & Performance Management: Advises and counsels managers and employees on all performance related issues, including identifying key talent, recognition and rewards, attendance/performance issues, performance improvement, and terminations.
- Employee Relations: Support the Employee Relations function to consult with leaders, managers and employees on all aspects of employee-related issues, including manager and employee issues, policies and procedures, misconduct, investigations, terminations, reorganizations and claims. Maintain compliance with labor, employment and health and safety laws and regulations
- Compensation/Benefits: Executes compensation and benefits programs (annual salary planning process, salary surveys and analysis, etc) ensuring a highly competitive Apple experience for our employees. Partners with management and Benefits to assist with the management of leaves, disabilities, and Worker's Compensation.
- Training & Development: Understands the training/development needs and acts as liaison with Apple University and Retail Learning & Development to provide appropriate training to the organization.
- HR Metrics: Proactively identify opportunities across the business and HR function and recommend programs and/or enhancements as necessary. Implement practices to track and report key people trends and data to drive strategic business recommendations.
- Special Projects: Contributes to special and cross-functional projects as needed.

Education & Experience

BA/BS degree; MBA a plus
