Raytheon Missiles & Defense is seeking a Program Integrator.

Program Management Excellence (PMX) has an opening for a Program Integrator (PI) that will be matrixed to the Deployment, Fielding & Sustainment (DFS) Integrated Product Team within the Lower Tier Air & Missile Defense Product Line (LT AMD PL).

Raytheon Missiles and Defense is the prime contractor for Patriot, the worlds most sophisticated long-range, high-altitude, all-weather air and missile defense system. As part of the Land Warfare & Air Defense Mission Area, the LT AMD PL DFS team provide full life-cycle support to Patriot customers, including spares management, support to fielding events, training and tech manuals, and post-fielding logistics.

The PI is responsible for program integration, coordination, and control and direct engagement with the program team and functional partners, in pursuit of day to day program execution; advocating Program Management (PM) plans, processes, and business objectives; the implementation of PM best practices.


In concert with the IPT Director, Key responsibilities include:

  • Sets product line strategy, vision and tactical direction for program execution by multi-functional team(s) and sub-contractors.
  • Assist the IPT Director and other team members in meeting contractual commitments including financial, technical, and schedule performance of assigned program(s) within contractual boundaries and company expectations.
  • Develops program enhancing partnerships with internal functional organizations, such as contracts, finance, procurement, manufacturing, quality control, logistics, and administrative functions.
  • Develops to senior management the monthly IPT Reports.
  • Establishes product line standards and supports development of executable program baseline using the approved business model and management tools.
  • Ensures effective product line risk and opportunity management, in accordance with specific financial goals and obligations.
  • Execute daily program cadence i.e., risk review boards, customer reviews, program milestones, and decision reviews to achieve contract commitments
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure integrated master schedule aligns with program strategies, objectives, and milestones
  • Capture staffing projections and work with Control Account Managers (CAMs) to meet program goals and timelines
  • Preparing, revising, updating and monitoring required documentation and analysis in compliance with contract requirements, Raytheons Integrated Product Development System (IPDS), Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Corporate and Business policies and procedures.
  • Integrating key business activities into a seamless project management plan leveraging best practices, people skills and cross utilization of assets. Assisting program leadership with emerging tasks critical to achieving program business objectives.
  • Identifying and implementing key product line metrics and lead development of situational awareness reporting and management tools for program leadership teams to drive program success.
  • Coordinating program start-up process by assisting in the creation of initial program artifacts (team structure, lesson learned, Contractual Work Breakdown Structure (CWBS), etc.)
  • Preparing and managing all required product lifecycle artifacts and reviews
  • Capturing and tracking program actions and working with action owners to ensure timely closure of actions.
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
  • Address multiple issues and set priorities, operate independently to navigate organizational complexities and to obtain resources (through influence) to move initiatives forward
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently
  • Support contract bidding, negotiation and contract definitization efforts

Required Skills:

  • A minimum of 10 years of business, program, or project management professional experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Experience with financial analysis tools
  • Experience with project management tools/systems
  • Experience balancing technical costs, and schedule constraints to achieve project completion
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Required Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in the Defense or Aerospace industry
  • Working knowledge of contract formation and execution
  • Experience conducting international business
  • Demonstrated experience with Risk and Opportunity Management
  • Product lifecycle management experience
  • Earned Value Management certification
  • Proficiency with Program Management tool suite or similar systems
  • Prior experience and application of Defense Acquisition processes
  • Prior experience supporting development, production and/or sustainment programs, preferably in the aerospace and defense industry
  • Demonstrated skills in planning and execution for both short-term requirements and long-term opportunities
  • Strong interpersonal skills with special focus on achieving active participation of appropriate individuals across the business
  • Experience supporting programs and executing responsibilities in an Agile environment
  • Experience developing and reviewing cost proposals and synthesizing business review material for Management review and approval
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, Raytheon Program Management Excellence (PMX) Certification, Earned Value Certification or equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and integrate solutions to complex programs, prior experience in engineering planning

This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.

This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
