Job Summary:

The System Design & Architecture (SD&A) Directorate is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within RMD, responsible for defining customer needs, functional and product architecture, requirements definition and decomposition, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), system performance, and System Security Engineering (SSE).

This position is in San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Systems Engineering involving Linux systems
  • Systems Engineering involving electrical/hardware systems
  • Familiarity with systems documentation, including block diagrams, requirements documentation, etc.
  • Work with shipboard naval systems
  • 40% time on Travel in a shipboard environment

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM). An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience as follows: An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience. A Ph.D. can account for 5 years of experience as required for this position.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering, with experience with Linux or in electrical/hardware engineering
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Experience with software installation on fielded hardware
  • Technical communication skills for generation of system trouble reports
