At Intel, we constantly push the boundaries of innovation to make people's lives more exciting, more fulfilling, and easier to manage. As an Optoelectronics Test Engineer in the EyeC group, you will be responsible for photonic device testing, analysis, documentation, and development.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Design and build optoelectronics experiments; perform device testing, measurements, and data/results analysis

  • Develop techniques to characterize photonic integrated circuits and optoelectronic components

  • Hands-on lab activities with cutting edge lab instruments for lab/simulation results correlation, as well as programming scripts for automation and optimization required for those tasks

  • Define product characterization and test methodologies

  • Define production test requirements per the product specifications, and enable the manufacturing production test capability

Candidate must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work, classes, research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidate must have a MS or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Optical Science or related technical discipline.

1+years of relevant hands-on experience in:

  • Optoelectronics related testing, characterization, analysis, and documentation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of coherent optics, photonic integration, optoelectronics, lasers, and associated test equipment

  • Familiar with MATLAB, LabVIEW, and typical lab, instrument control and data analysis tools
