Job Summary:

Are you a student currently pursuing a degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, systems engineering, or mechanical engineering? Do you have an interest in Electrical Test Engineering? If so, Raytheon Technologies, Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD) Operations organization could be the perfect place for your next co-op rotation!

There are opportunities for 2022 Spring Co-op 6 month position that will be January - June. You can learn to become an Electrical Test Engineer with strong technical and communication skills to take responsibility for Operations Test in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Here at RMD, our Operations Test Team ensures product and process quality with an emphasis on Product Compliance, Customer Satisfaction and Continuous Improvement. As an Electrical Test Engineer embedded within the Production Value Stream youll be a high-value participant on cross-functional teams, utilizing circuitry skills and expertise to identify issue resolutions and also frequently interfacing with internal customers.

In this role, your responsibilities will include: Performing data analysis of test results of PWB electrical parameters using Microsoft Excel to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement. Working with engineering mentor and test operators while performing hands-on test and troubleshooting of a wide variety of circuit boards using test equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and V/I Curve Tracers. Providing production floor support to address process and compliance issues from all levels.

Preferred Candidate Experience includes:
Working with Electrical Test Equipment (oscilloscopes and multi-meters)
Utilizing Microsoft Office (VBA programming)
Knowledge of digital and electronic circuits
Facilitating cross-functional teams for improvement activities (e.g. 6-sigma, lean manufacturing)
Using Pareto analysis, cause/effect diagrams, process mapping, and/orother performance analysis tools
Ability to exercise sound judgment and apply decisionmaking skillswith appropriate supervisory intervention
Ability to develop solutions to technical problems

This is a First Shift position.

This position can be a ST01 to ST05 based on the candidate's qualifications and standing as outlined below:
  • ST01 (Freshman Technical Intern)- must be enrolled in a Bachelors degree program
  • ST02 (Sophomore Technical Intern)- must have completed 30 credit hours by start of internship
  • ST03 (Junior Technical Intern)- must have completed 60 credit hours of college by start of internship
  • ST04 (Senior Technical Intern)- must have completed 90 credit hours of college by start of internship
  • ST05 (Post-Graduate Technical Intern)- must have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a graduate degree program (in degree fields listed in Qualifications You Must Have) by start of internship

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Must be a minimum ST01 by the start of summer 2021 in
  • For technical roles: Enrolled in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) Degree
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
