The Operations Engineering Lead/Manager is responsible for supporting device monitoring, inventory, change management, process and systems integration, and contract management. This person will be responsible for creating and developing relationships with vendors, and managing our contract workforce in alignment with operational goals. They will have a role in defining operational processes, implementation and management, cost and productivity optimization, and proactively identifying solutions for needs across the organization. You will lead an Operations Engineering team and be a primary operations interface to teams in core product development, software, test, program management, and other functional organizations within Apple. Either through direct involvement and/or influence, you will ensure successful operations and day to day device management
• Develop and oversee a team in support of related day to day operations
• Work closely with engineering, test, and support teams
• Ensure vendors procedures and policies are in alignment with Apple values
• Understand success for each vendor-filled role, and develop an evaluation
feedback loop with vendors and our internal training program
• Ensure operational processes comply with Apple operational and safety guidelines. When necessary, work with the appropriate teams to create new guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures
• Promote detailed and thorough documentation and metrics that allow performance and quality to be tracked over time
• Develop creative solutions to allow for discrete operational enhancements
• Gather and focus diverse cross-functional teams' requirements and
implement procedures to capture required data
• Work to build device management solutions and tools for Apple devices to
allow for continuous monitoring
• Work with Apple's platform and technology teams to understand and perform
operational and integration testing throughout device usage
• Provide periodic performance and strategy updates to senior management
• Look to solve problems rather than report on them

• BA, BS and above
