Job Summary:

We have an excellent opportunity located in Andover, MA to lead the Land Warfare & Air Defense (LW&AD) Operations and Quality Finance Team. This candidate would be responsible for being a trusted business partner with the LW&AD Program Operations Director, LW&AD Program Operations Managers (POMs), Patriot Product Line, several factories, and LW&AD FP&A. This candidate would be responsible for ensuring all programs have compliant, timely Quarterly EACs, support Monthly Earned Value Analysis, lead Operations cash forecasting for the Mission Area, and support make-where and return on investment analyses for investments. These are strategic, fast paced programs looking for the right individual to partner for predictability and growth. In addition, this candidate would be accountable for the operations labor forecasting process (monthly, Annual Operating Plan, Long Range Plan) for the entire LW&AD Mission Area, driving value stream engagement, analysis by IPT, and Operations and LW&AD leadership review.

The candidate must drive data based decision making, and demonstrate the ability to drive meaningful analysis, assist in financial recommendations, and communicate effectively, while partnering with management and operating as integral member of the team.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Be fully accountable for the LW&AD operations and quality financial execution, including EAC development, earned value support, performance against AOP, and tracking cost control initiatives
  • Be a business partner to the Program Operations Managers (POMs) to ensure all decisions are supported by an informed financial analysis
  • Directly manage six direct reports and a team of 19 within LW&AD Operations finance
  • Partner with program office finance teams and value stream finance to ensure operations positions are timely, accurate and complete, including risk and opportunity assessments
  • Drive alignment in EAC data, tools, and processes from the factory, through program operations and to the Patriot Product Line/Program Offices
  • Lead, improve, and streamline the LW&AD operations labor forecasting process across all IPTs and product lines, including the monthly forecast, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and Long Range Plan (LRP). Ensure weekly analysis and risk & opportunity assessments, understanding and documenting all assumptions, and present deliverables to Operations leadership as well as LW&AD FP&A and finance leadership.
  • Aid management by quickly assimilating into the Operations team culture
  • Be able to act as delegate for LW&AD Operations Executive Director in strategic leadership meetings
  • Proactively lead self-initiated analysis, solve problems, and resolve issues
  • Positively drive process and culture change through the RMD harmonization, CAS Phase 2 initiatives, and process improvements
  • Prepare and present director-level presentations
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related field of study or coursework
  • Minimum 10 years experience in Finance or Accounting or related field.
  • Experience performing comparative analysis with an emphasis on variance explanations
  • Experience with financial systems (such as SAP, BW), and Excel
  • Experience partnering cross functionally

  • Extremely thorough, submits complete and accurate work to customers
