Job Description

This is a strong Technical Leadership role accountable for delivering results for GSC-SSC (Global Supply Chain - Systems Supply Chain).This role primarily focuses on successful ODM Ecosystem Development, ODM Enabling, Certification, and New Product Introduction (NPI) developing stable and capable solutions for complex initiatives, driving readiness for transfer to HVM (high volume manufacturing) operations. This role has a strong Technical Integration aspect built into it spanning across Intel Project Life Cycle (PLC) with more emphasis on Technology Development and Qualification. Results are achieved with innovation, problem-solving, program management, leadership skills, and, through collaboration and teamwork with multiple components vertical areas and with various internal and external stakeholders and working hand in hand.

As the ODM Technology Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for but not limited to: 

  • Design and synchronization of networks and processes that move raw materials and supplies into production facilities, transform them into finished goods, and distribute products to customer markets.
  • Explore and benchmark emerging technology in the industry and drive Innovation.
  • Contribute to the future technology definition and requirements.
  • Define the technical requirements for supplier selection.
  • Work together with the ecosystem (ODMs, suppliers) and internal stakeholders (NPI teams at Business units (BUs), TD groups (ATTD/STTD), etc.) to understand, define and develop requirements, processes, systems, flows, capabilities and competencies, to meet Intel product roadmaps and requirements and enable competitive, best-in-class solutions to meet schedule, quality, reliability, cost, yield and manufacturability requirements.
  • Lead technical project teams, coach teams, and build capabilities and core competencies, and drive innovation to develop the overall ecosystem.
  • Derive knowledge from a breadth of technology development and problem-solving experience.
  • Develop plans and strategies to validate critical process windows at suppliers.
  • Drive supplier process window validation activities on critical process modules throughout stages of development.
  • Drive supplier improvements on quality, reliability, yield, and cost.
  • Develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education, statistical knowledge and problem-solving tools.
  • Develop strategy to resolve a wide range of difficult and complex problems.
  • Establish master Gantt and perform regular review on the project progress.
  • Provide technical leadership/guidance/support during factory start-ups.
  • Experience and thorough knowledge in Intel supply chain business practices and procedures.
  • Work with cross-matrixed team members across different groups/areas, which can include maintaining quality standards and systems, component qualification, creating relevant specifications to minimize variability and subjectivity to align with operational and supplier capability requirements.
  • Define material inspection metrology and methodology.
  • Conduct studies relative to cost control, process control, and production yield and implement plans and programs to optimize the supply chain.
  • Work with ODMs/suppliers to define requirements and hold them accountable for their manufacturing process flow to meet quality, reliability, cost, yield, and manufacturability requirements.
  • Lead project teams and taskforces.
  • Experience working on new product introduction (board and systems preferred) during all phases of the PLC.
  • Presentation skills to executive audience and forums, with a breakdown of complex concepts with clear solutions, options and recommendations.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.


Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must possess at least one of the following degrees plus the years of experience determined for each degree in the areas specified below  

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Business, Statistics, Analytics, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science Engineering, Business, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field of study with 12+ years of experience in Science/Engineering disciplines.
  • Master's Degree in the above fields with 8+ years of experience in Science/Engineering disciplines
  • Ph.D. in the above fields with 6+ years of experience in Science/Engineering disciplines
  • 10+ years of experience in process/technology development or HVM certification
  • 5+ years of experience in:
  • Suppliers' technology, development, qualification, management, or certification.
  • Planning, Project/Program management experience, defining and tracking deliverables, and driving complex projects to completion.

  • This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • M.B.A. (Master of Business Administration) degree.
  • GSC Experience preferred in systems, methodology, and business processes.
  • ODM Ecosystem and Factory Development experience.
  • Experience in the semiconductor manufacturing industry.
  • Analytical and systematic/model-based problem-solving (MBPS).
  • Knowledge of factory start-ups, equipment installations/qualifications, 5M + E fingerprinting, Process characterizations, Design of Experiments (DOEs), Statistical Process Controls (SPC), Stability, Capability Assessments, Quality, and Reliability Assessments, FMEA.
